Welcome
I have been working as a psychotherapist and counsellor with adults and young people for 17 years. It is a privilege to meet and to work alongside a wide range of individuals with diverse life experiences. I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else.

As well as counselling and psychotherapy, I also offer clinical supervision to counsellors and therapists working with adults, adolescents and children.
I strive to create a compassionate, inclusive and empowering practice which welcomes all.

I consider emotional and mental distress to be the result of creative adjustments made to manage difficult life circumstances. By this, I mean that we do not suffer simply as a result of biology, genetics or illness, but due to our social context, personal life experiences, and how we make sense of the world. Rather than asking, 'what is wrong with you?', I often prefer to ask, 'what has happened to you?
I work with a wide variety of people of different ages and with different issues. I have a particular interest in working with teachers and other education professionals, parents of teenagers and adult children, siblings of people living with long term mental illness and people experiencing the emotional challenges of mid-life, including the menopause.
I am also lucky enough to work as a lecturer on an MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling course and as course lead on a L4 Counselling Certificate Course at a university in the midlands.
